Years and years ago, we wanted to make our dining table seem separated from the living room. I tried to locate the dates here, but I found no precise information. Originally, I thought it had to do with the Canadian Renovation Tax Credit instituted by the federal government during the 2008 economic meltdown. I couldn't see anything. I suppose we may have put in the laminate wood flooring before the blog began in 2003. This is precisely why I now try to blog about things like this.
Anyway, that ancient wall paper is surely tired! We're going to keep the same concept by refreshing with some wainscoting and trim. Andrey found that our ceiling is concrete and that changed his plans somewhat. He had to make several trips to get what was needed. It's all in the hall at the moment. We'll schedule when he can come and do some work with a circular saw on our balcony.
