Lately, I've come to feel quite contented. When my mind starts to think about the need to finish trivial activities, I convince myself that as a retired guy, I only have self-imposed schedules. Relaxing and taking a little fulfillment in my current place in life is key.

We went up to our recycling center with bottles and cans. Many were our own. In BC we pay a deposit on most drink containers and desire to earn it back. Jay also picks up some from our strata recycling. He got about $6.25 in cash. Over the course of a summer, we get at least 100 free bucks to buy something special. Also, it feels nice knowing we're doing our part for a more sustainable future.
On the return drive, we stopped in at the uptown shopping mall. I got a new replacement down pillow. I require two pillows to sleep but the one under my head must be full of feathers.
