Let's Talk Turkey

I was silently commiserating about the rather crappy weather we're having today. Then I thought, let's share! After all, isn't that what social media is all about? It's primarily a way to get stuff off one's chest, isn't it? And a way to say things one would never say face to face, right?

It just seemed so dark and wet. I posted a shot from the balcony on Facebook to try to keep upbeat by consoling myself. I know that we'll soon be off to a place that gets less than 1 mm of rain per YEAR. We will spend this whole winter in a location that bumps into the theoretical limit for maximum yearly sunshine.


It has now turned darker and even damper in the hour and a half after this original 11:30 AM shot.

There is always a silver lining though. We had a bird in the freezer to eat up as the refrigerator will be switched off for about 5 1/2 months. The wonderful smell of roasting turkey and all the fixin's will, of course, make the place much less gloomy.
