First, the interaction with students is probably my primary focus. Each class is a special combination of unique personalities. In that way, I guess classes are like snowflakes for no matter how many years I teach, I can never seem to find two which are alike. So, having the chance to meet with so many sets of interesting individuals never gets old.
Secondly, I like planning and organization. I enjoy taking raw ideas and forming a coherent set of teaching materials. I am surely capable of keeping a group of people captivated at the drop of a hat. Yet, I find putting together media in a logical sequence personally inspiring. When things are well-laid out, I get a great sense of accomplishment.
So as I get to work with people and plan out hours of scheduled time with them. I am grateful that I'm actually paid for doing this job. How lucky is that!
