The town of Minuwangoda has a 'market day' on Sundays. Different towns choose different days to host. Lots of individual vendors come to sell their wares in the municipal market area. Sunday used to be shopping day for buying vegetables but nowadays the supermarket chains in town have stolen most of our business.
However, the dependable old co-op and most of downtown is really close by.
