Day 51 - Just to get out, Jay and I went to downtown Minuwangoda to pick up some groceries. We also got a new tiny battery for an oral thermometer at a wristwatch and clock shop.
It still feels fun to run errands here. Using the app to get a tuk-tuk is easy but it means we walk much less than in the old days. I guess that's okay.
The weather has changed. This year the seasonal monsoon that usually affects the other side of the island, seemed to dump rain everywhere. Now the climate has dried out and it feels hotter. The daily temps this week should be 31°C to 33°C in the day and around 25°C at night.
Jay and I obviously retired early to be able to have a few more years of international travel. In fact, we take it seriously enough that it's actually become a job in itself. It's one where we set our own time and have vast flexibility in planning and implementation.
Today, I checked on specific dates in June for hotels in Riga, Latvia. We know that we'll be flying back to Vancouver from there. What we have a lot of work to figure out is where and how we'll spend about 20 days between Berlin and there. AI is helping this time by suggesting places in Poland and Lithuania that we should visit and things we should see.
