We've got a whole lot of travel before next June. However, over the last few years, our retirement winters have shrunk by up to a month. Our winter trips always involve time in places that are warm and sunny. We've discovered that we can make them shorter and keep time in June available for travel. too. There are tons of locations we've yet to see that have weather that's similar to home.
We'd been mulling over the idea of exploring more of Eastern Europe. A few months ago, I wrote about our last trip that took place some years back. So, we've picked the area shown in a Google Maps image above.
We bought direct roundtrip tickets through Frankfurt on Condor with connecting, short-haul sectors on Lufthansa and Air Baltic. Those little arrows show that we have different arrival and departure destinations. Our month will happen between Berlin, Germany and Riga, Latvia.
