We waited longer than the scheduled window and no bus, heading to the hospital in George Town, arrived to pick us up. We did see several run past us in the opposite direction, towards the airport. We gave up and walked back to our usual stop and took a quick trip to pick up a few more groceries.
After all my years in the mid and far east, I never quite got used to queues or having to wait. Yet finally, with the onset of early-retirement, has come a realization that I have the obligation to enjoy all moments in life. Perhaps it really is possible to mellow with age. The bus stop was pleasant, the cheerful birds of the tropics provided a pleasant background, and I had no obligations.
One might as well find the positives in life. Every moment of life is a gift.

When at the bus stop for our return, I took a few pictures of a kid there. He obviously was enjoying his new form of transportation!
