Day 08 - The place we have rented for three months is sort of tucked up against the mountain range which runs down the center of Palau Penang. We are lucky to have a park within walking distance.
For the first time today, we explored it. It is also a bit of a botanical garden as it has sections devoted to differing types of plants, such as: jambu, herbs, durian, and mangos. It is the side of a hill, so it was a little hike up the hill.
I think I was destined to spend a lot of time in jungle flora. The hike was nice and the park even included some areas for picnicking and a small swimming pool. Access to the area is about a half mile from our apartment. It is a nice amenity to have handy.
