We decided to walk to the public beach area. The entire coast is accessible as hotels can't 'own' the ocean here but there is a park accessible to crowds. This is where we expect to come tomorrow night for some festivites.
We ate at the White House restaurant and I was happy with a big beer and some chicken fried noodles and Jay a traditional Sri Lanka curry with about five little curries and vegetables.
We're going to eat lunch and dinner out during our stay. We get a free breakfast at the hotel. I love beaches facing west. It just seems right. Who'd want to have to get up early to see the sun rise?
