I drove up to the park to charge my car today as the battery was sitting at just 58%. In the past, when I burned gasoline, I always liked a topped-up tank. And, things stay the same even if technology doesn't.
I knew I'd have time to walk to the other side of the park and return through the lower trail. I ventured off the main path though and found myself in very thick mud up to my ankles. Luckily, I had on my sandals. I was able to wash them off at a drinking fountain that also had a faucet for dogs.
It took me longer than expected. Therefore, my car charged to 84% which is generally above my desired 'run-around' charge of 80%. An EV battery automatically asks to slow down DC fast charging at that level. I had to pay less than CA$7 for 175 kms of electricity.
The scenery is always an added bonus when changing at Queen's Park in my city.
