Financial Tech.

This morning, Jay had a 10 o'clock appointment with our banker. It took a few years, but we have ensured all term-deposit renewals and money-market decisions occur during summers when we're home. Even though more organized, we still can't manage everything on the same date as my options expire in July. Today, I did set up an appointment for another visit with Franky though.

I was thinking about banking as a child.  I remember my 'bank book' that one could update by visiting a branch.  If it had been a long time since I deposited grandma's birthday cash, some machine would make clackity-clack sounds as interest calculations were being updated in the pages of a passport-like booklet.   In the last half-century, some things have changed.  I now bank with one institution that has only a phone app.
