However, this is the second time we formed a brief lineup for two, free 2-liter bottles. The last time, a few weeks ago, I noticed they contained their sugar-free formula. I assumed the push was to get rid of bottles as they weren't proving popular in sales. Today, however, I noticed that the promotion is actually to get people to use plastic reusable bottles. We're now used to picking up plastic containers about as strong as plastic from a roll of food wrap! These, though, are light but really do feel tough!
A fair number of beers are available in reusable glass bottles in Argentina. So, I suppose soft drinks should also offer the option of reusable containers. It surely makes more environmental sense than simply recycling single-use plastics.
Although the early morning was a bit overcast, it turned out nice for a walk on the streets near our apartment.
