Day 14 - We all, as people, take slightly or even wildly different routes in life. Sometimes avenues are closed to us from the start. More often, we don't even know a particular route exists. For example, perhaps the potentially greatest hockey player in the world was born in a place without ice. Or maybe your friend or partner could have been a cello virtuoso but was never exposed to such a musical instrument in their youth.

We can only smell the flowers we are exposed to.

We can only swim in waters we are near.
(As I was passing an art studio and gallery, I spotted this little girl taking a nap among the Fridas. Why Bali has so many images of Frida Kahlo is a mystery to me.)To many, this seems like insurmountable restrictions. However, life may offer much more potential than we'd like to think. Restrictions are often self imposed. For example, access to the world has never been greater. The gateway to broader experiences and more numerous choices is travel.
