However, we're still getting to know to Seminyak, Legian, and Kuta. We have got the whole island to explore. Fortunately, we have the time to do so, later. When we do leave, we go to Kuala Lumpur for three months. Running someplace for a couple of weeks just doesn't 'cut it'. Getting the true 'feel' of a place takes a bit longer. Yet, staying too long in one place causes a person to lose perspective too. Our chosen schedule of five months away and seven at home strikes an inspired balance.
I could definitely see making Bali a part of future winters.
Today, we continued to see the local neighbourhoods on foot. This is the first time we've used Google Maps to get around while walking. It comes in handy here as lots of shortcuts involve walking on narrow pathways. Some are dead-ends. Using the GPS for walking shows lots of data on the upcoming turns and estimated arrival. At night it automatically uses a black screen mode. Cool.
Today's pictures are a few things we've seen which we probably wouldn't have come across had we stayed in New Westminster.
