Today, I started getting serious about packing even though we don't leave for the airport until tomorrow at his time. Wow. I seem to already have more than I needed during our last two winters away! As well as casual clothing, we each need to pack a formal suit. In fact, I ran to buy a white dress shirt today. When I used to teach, I preferred colourful ones. Upon retiring, I also got rid of dozens of dress shirts figuring that a few would be sufficient for non-work requirements.
Being away for two weeks without access to a normal washing machine apparently forces one into different sorts of choices too. As well, a bit of rain-gear may be necessary to lug along, just in case. Everything, so far, seems to fit in the same suitcase I used when staying for months and months in Mexico and Egypt.
I do get to break in a new backpack as airplane carry-on though!
