We joined the Encore Rewards program a few years ago primarily for the dining specials. Additionally, we quite often receive email coupons in free slot play.
The Starlight Casino is in town near the Queensborough Walmart. We decided to try the lunch today at a new venue rather directly called, The Buffet. The 2-for-1 coupon and conjunction coupon for an additional $5 in slot pay had to be used this week. We found an adequate salad bar which even included perogies. The main fare was rice or noodles and Chinese food. I didn't order from the pasta bar but that could have been an alternative. The dessert bar was small but had fresh fruit as well as cream puffs and cake. The soft serve ice cream and rather modern soda fountain were new and rather high tech. Eating here for the normal $12 would have been a deal.
Our total bill was $12.60. Minus the $5 free slot play and the $1 in slot profit, lunch cost us about $3.30 each. We enjoyed that, plus the fun of remembering it's been an awfully long time since we've been in Vegas.
