The rain did let up for a brief time in the afternoon. I walked down to Hyack Square a few blocks from my apartment in New Westminster, BC. From the park space, a set of stairs ascend over the rail tracks to the New Westminster Quay. The area was renovated a few years back and features a large round raised area in the center. It's a suitable area on which a musical band can play. It's also where our city's Christmas tree will sit. I wonder when that will go up this year? I surely hope we get a freshly-cut conifer this year after an embarrassingly sick attempt at an artificial tree a few years back. Come on, we live in the province of British Columbia!
Regardless, I stepped up onto the round, circular area and tried to create my first Photo Sphere in light mist. It was a little like making a panorama shot, except one has to keep moving the device in all 360 degrees. I didn't do a perfect job this time as evidenced by the crooked planks and my visible right foot. Still, this may be really fun on a good day in interesting locations. It might even be a must-do on future vacations.
