Let's count this as the first full day of vacation although we left last Sunday. The daylight starts early and finishes early in this time zone and latitude. Even if physically here, physiologically we're not quite caught up. This morning we got up at about six. It started out a bit overcast but, of course, the temperature seems warm. We ate breakfast in bits over a period of time. Eventually, we went to town to do some shopping. There were lots of small items we needed. To me, it seems easier to spend $100 worth of rupees than is used to. I felt my general disposition unwind. There's something about the tropics that does that. The fauna at the bird, squirrel feeder helped a lot. The variety of plumage on winged parade was, well, varied. The short afternoon nap turned long but that's frequently the case on the first day here. I think there was a fair share of rain, but it was warm water falling. After all, the current days were our nights just last week.
Deep breath. Relax. We've only begun ...
