We're currently sans hamster. This picture just makes it among my "Top 20" images on Flickr. It was hamster number four out of probably six or seven. They are great little pets even if they only live approximately a thousand days.
I'd run to get another but we have to leave them often when we're away on long vacations. Even if hamsters are more self-reliant than any other kind of pet, it doesn't feel right when one expires from old age when we're out of town.
