If my eJournal and images includes some of my ideas, it also acts as a simple diary of things that are going on around me. It cannot really reflect the enormous number the thoughts and emotions of a particular day though. Other social networking fills in those details somewhat. For example, I jottted out a quick, Facebook message to a former BCIT student, Airi. She is in Japan right now. I simply typed,
"I'm so sorry to hear about all the events taking place in Japan. In BC, we are sadly watching and listening to the media."If the earthquake and the tsunami weren't enough, now the unfortunate people are facing such problems with the failing nuclear power-plant. It makes us all ponder how very small we, as humans, are.
On the other hand, I also do try to include concrete things that I see on a daily basis in this space. For example although the weather has remained grey and rainy, I walked on the downtown parkade to see the progress on the Pier Park up front and a little closer. Finally, some of the new concrete and steel pier is taking shape!
