So Much Farther to Go

I'm appreciative for the longer course I'm presently teaching. For a long time I've taught this level in an 84-hour format. Luckily, after coming back from my big autumn vacation, I got a class that will take me right up until December 18th. It still meets 16 hours per week but this one totals 120 hours. That's a lot longer. That feels like a lot longer too.

I have been able to go into greater depth in a number of topics. I have been able to schedule classes so things seem a tiny bit less hectic. Most importantly, I will complete the usual materials and go on to other skill areas. We will be doing a lot of additional spoken English this term.

The only drawback with the schedule is the amount of effort needed to get to the end. We are just about at the 84-hour point and we are starting to get tired. The students seem more resigned and I lack some of my usual zeal.
