It was a busy day today although I didn't work. It started when we pulled the electronic equipment away from the wall and sliced off a one-foot chunk of carpet along it. This allowed easy painting right down to the pad. Then down came the old vertical blinds in just the living room. Next, a gallon of
European White, which incidentally isn't very white, covered the two walls which needed painting. Then, we finished pulling up the carpet in the entire living room. This gives us a head start on the weekend when it will all be removed. After all that junk went into the truck which already had the old bookcase, we drove to Coquitlam and paid $10 to get rid of it at the transfer station. The new blinds aren't up yet, but nobody can see in anyway. The carpet guys don't come until next Tuesday. The counter top folks haven't even set an appointment yet.
Living in this type of disarray is nearly as exciting as heading off on vacation to a city we've never been to.
