Day 7 - I started yesterday's journal entry with a picture of one of the four dragons on the city's famous bridge. Today's first photo was snapped in the middle. It's a baby dragon, I suppose. They look like birds when they're young.
Our task for the morning was to take the funicular up to the city's castle. It was a perfect day for such a experience.
We probably only spent an hour or an hour and a half up there. As we'd purchased the round trip tickets, we rode back down to the old town for our final views. We ate lunch along the river. I had a glass of Slovenian red wine too.
We had a little afternoon nap when the temperature was at its highest. We walked back out toward the same area for dinner tonight.
Tomorrow morning we have to get up a bit earlier and eat breakfast when the hotel's buffet opens at 7:30. We bought train tickets yesterday for the next leg of our trip. We will board an 8:50 am train to the Croatian border and meet a train waiting there. It's take us to our hotel near the Zagreb Train Station before noon. We are staying in that capital city for three nights.
