Day 6 - What beautiful day in the old town! The day started with the free breakfast at the hotel. It was a bit basic but having unlimited cappuccino and coffee from the machine started things off well. We walked directly to the 'Dragon Bridge'. It's one of many bridges that cross the river here.
We found the outdoor fruit and vegetable market first.
The main way to cross from one side to the other is on the Triple Bridges. The temperatures here this week are topping out at around 29C but drop close to 10C in the early hours of the morning. It is a dry heat and perfect for just being outside.
We walked slowly and extensively. Before we knew it, lunch time was calling. We ate both lunch in dinner in different places in the old part of town. There are so many choices for food that is quite a lot cheaper than eating out at home or in most places nowadays.
Tourism is important to the economy and the city does such an excellent job at it. They give a multitude of ways to part with spare cash. Ice cream? Picture with an emu?
My Fitbit shows we walked exactly 13 km today. Oh my. Perhaps a funicular up to the castle tomorrow?
