Day 14 - Jay and I returned to the Central Train Station this morning after our hearty, hotel breakfast. We like talking to the helpful agents and getting tickets directly. They can advise one about deals not on the website. For example, we didn't know that all riders over 60 can get a senior discount. The wait is never long as all the counters are staffed. Today, we went to buy several tickets for one week ahead.
For tomorrow, we have two tickets so that we can see the city of Kraków. Although it is in the south of Poland our first ride there will be under three hours. That puts us in the historical city center at a bit after mid-day. It is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. We will return to Warsaw on a 5:00 pm train that takes only two hours and twenty minutes.
Jay and I also already bought tickets to the city of Białystok in Poland's northeast. That is a one-way ticket as we will say goodbye to Warsaw this Friday. We will be going to several Baltic countries but will stay in Białystok for two full days and three nights.
The ticket purchased today was also a one-way. We'll take a Polish train from Białystok to Vilnius, Lithuania. We have already got hotel reservations in that city for four nights from June 17th.
