Thinking it over, I've probably only ever eaten passion fruit while in Sri Lanka. It must have seemed so exotic the first time I visited in the mid-80s.
When things remain the same for too long, I miss a sense of discovery and newness. I think that's why Jay and I have remained determined travellers throughout life. There's a delightful feeling when one doesn't know what to expect. It's a levelling of the playing field. There's nothing more abhorrent than a person who has given up on exploring. It's usually because they think they already know all they need to.
