Day 30 - Before we got on the Metro, we knew we'd not be able to get inside our destintion. We tried to buy online tickets to the Museum of the Future and discovered the time slots are sold out until January 3rd. It still seemed worth going to several Metro stops to take photos. We only saw the public lobby but walked around the exterior of the seven-storey building. It is an amazing structure. The exterior Arabic calligraphy composes three quotes of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. In the evening we walked from the Al-Ras Metro station to the Dubai Gold Souk (Market). This is on the other side of the Creek in Deira. It is the original market area and dates from the early 1900s. It's as vibrant and exciting as ever.
