Day 31 - We were in the UAE for its 50th National Day celebrations. For this 52nd, we headed back to the Dubai Festival Mall Plaza. We were expecting fireworks but there was only a drone show over the crowds this year. We suspect this is because the ongoing COP28 United Nations Climate Change Conference that's taking place here.
We took the Dubai Ferry service over the creek. They seemed overwhelmed by the large crowds and we had sufficient waits both going and returning. However, it was an interesting evening and we, again, managed to walk over 11 kilometers during the day.
