Day 39 - Even after just three nights onboard the MSC Opera, we got into a routine.
Then suddenly, it's as if someone pulled the rug out beneath our feet. What? There's not a place to get an unlimited amount of food whenever we please? If we want the bed made from today, we have to do it ourselves. Real life is going to be rough.
We were late leaving the ship because we had no plane to catch. We ate a leisurely breakfast and packed our meager belongings for a 9:30 am ship walk-off.
The four of us caught a cab out front and rode the few kilometers to re-check into our hotel in Bur Dubai. They had a room for us immediately one floor below where we were before. The layout is exactly the same, so the two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and three bathrooms feel exactly the same as our prior nine nights.
We still had some staples left but Jay and I went to the Carrefour in the BurJuman Mall. Jay's sisters now have to figure out how to pack 60 kgs of luggage into suitcases designed for only 50. They still have a couple of days in Dubai to figure it out by way of some magic trick.
