Day 24 - Jay checked in and saved our boarding passes for Monday. Emirates Airlines let us check in 48 hours prior to the flight to Dubai.
The disabled dog visited today. He is a super-friendly mut born with some sort of leg trouble. He's not very tall as it appears as if his legs didn't develop correctly. The front legs are very bowed, so he walks strangely. He spends most of this day on the neighbouring property. They give food although he really doesn't belong to anyone. He's definitely learned to wag his tail and smile. Apparently, this has gotten him through life so far.
The weather was hot and sunny early on. Suddenly when we were napping a 2:45 pm all hell broke loose. I go on and on about tropical thunderstorms but unless you've been in one, you really can't grasp the energy released. It poured so heavily for about 20 minutes that it knocked a big section of gutter clean off the eves. There's always something or other to fix on a house, isn't there?
