No, not really. It is good to see the Writers' strike over. We generally see a lot of films and US TV shows shot in our little city of New Westminster, British Columbia. There's a reason the area is known as Hollywood North.
I was walking to the other end of downtown and found a guy putting snow on the curbside. He admitted that he was being paid for the opposite of what most folks do. See the decorated tree on the corner? I'm sure to many in the huge, local creative industry, it does feel a bit like Christmas!
