Today, I noticed that the local fall fruit is hitting the shelves. New apples and plums are beginning to be plentiful. A new batch of peaches straight from the Okanagan orchards were in today.
Interestingly, I noted that much of the earlier local produce is still for sale too. British Columbian blueberries and cherries are plentiful too. I wonder if it was this year's strange weather or more to do with the introduction of new varieties with different growing characteristics.
Whatever the reasons, the many choices now available are welcomed.
