In Canada, Good Friday is a statutory holiday for all. Good Friday AND Easter Monday are federal statutory holidays across Canada, but in British Columbia only Good Friday is. That being said, for the fourteen years I taught at the BC Institute of Technology, I never had to work on a Monday that followed Easter Sunday.
Why am I adding all this info here? It's to partially explain why the new dishwasher will sit in its present location until next Tuesday. The installation and removal of the current appliance couldn't be booked before April 11th.
