It was dreary this morning, so we didn't start off by washing clothes. When possible, we like drying clothes by letting them catch the sun and wind on a rack on the balcony. Actually, we saw that our condo had dryer-vent cleaners scheduled to blow excess lint out of our apartment's laundry exhaust at 9:00. am What perfect timing! Some years we miss the opportunity to have it done as we are still away. By the time we did a wash, the weather had improved greatly.
Unpacking seemed easier than usual, as we'd mostly clean clothing to unpack. All the things were away early on. We ran to the Langley Farm Market. That is what is called a greengrocer in Britain. The year-round market has some market goods but is primarily just for fruit and vegetables. Jay bought some grapes. Called 'Red Globes', they seemed the size of small plums.
The suitcases are away and all items are stored where they belong.
I had to call my TV IP technician, as our provider had the Internet ready for us yesterday when we flipped on the power. However, I had to sign into the basic TV app and it wasn't recognizing my ID and password. He said he'd get right at it. He called back 10 minutes later to ensure that everything was working well and it was.
So the list of a thousand little chores which, before we returned, were in the back of my mind, got completed quickly. Yes, indeed. We have become experts at getting ready for living for seven months a year in BC.
