Seeing Details of One's Past

Day 56 - I just don't get why so many people don't take and share photos, especially nowadays. It's not like photos are kept in book-like albums anymore. It's extremely easy to show people one's surroundings via social media or even email. It's sort of like people forget they have a phone camera in their possession most every minute of the day! 

Of course, this is coming from the guy who has over 38,000 images saved on Flickr. 

   

The image shown above is utilitarian. We had trouble relocating the whole-food store we liked near us in Buenos Aires. On several attempts, we weren't able to find it. However, we got back to it today and I snapped a picture ... just because.  We can remember the name Belle Grano now. 

More importantly. I love the idea that I can look at this side street anytime I want.  Over time things will change, but an image is a frozen instant. I was near that then. I may not ever return.  

Don't people want to be able to see the details of their pasts?
