We sailed away during our 8:00 pm dinner. We requested a table of eight and the folks weren't done from the earlier seating. We met at least four of the other folks from our original table, two live in NH and one man's sister and husband call Florida home now.
It was a tiring day as the Port of Miami is not the usual port for this ship. Ft. Lauderdale was too crowded to take us and they changed the departure port a few months back. Our hotel was only about 20 minutes from the port and the Uber lady was from Argentina. We told her that and she was very happy to hear we were heading to her home country.
Getting onboard was hectic and not well planned. We didn't mind the situation as we knew we had a whole month of being waited on as soon as we got onboard. We went to the port at 1:30 pm and managed to be in our room before our scheduled time of 4:00 pm.
Ah. This makes the last of four HAL sister ships. We have travelled on the Nordam, Westerdam, and Zuiderdam. So, this compass point is the final one! We know the way around this ship from our past experiences.
Wow. We head between Cuba and other islands as we steam towards Aruba for a Tuesday arrival.
