Summer Must Be Close!

I walked past the Law Courts on Carnarvon this morning. It is on our street just on the other side of Sixth. New Westminster is the oldest city in British Columbia and its former capital. Therefore, vestiges of history can be found on this hillside.  I read that this location had an original Carnegie Library and I've seen old photographs of it.  That building stood from 1905 to 1958.  

   

I think the current building was built in the 1970s.  I enjoy seeing its modern appearance.  Most of the court butts up against a steep slope.  Therefore, it includes a water feature and steps that head up the hill.  

The fountain's water is turned off in the fall.  So, when I saw it flowing today, it felt like summer was close.  I just wish it would start to feel like it was. Tonight the temperature will drop to just 8°C.
