Day 15 - Today we didn't venture as far as usual. We're saving our strength for tomorrow night's celebration. December 2nd is the National Day of the UAE. In 2021 the nation turns 50 years old. What a lot has been accomplished in the last fifty years! We'll probably head to the enormous area around the Burj Khalifa for the fireworks and fountain show.
Today, the upper photo shows that I put another 100 Dhs on each of our NOI cards for the Metro. The photo is BurJuman, a station with both of the current Metro lines. It is super chilled and we often use it as an easier, quicker way to cross under the intersection.
The picture below was after 4:30 PM. Every day now, at that time, we head up to the roof to relax in the pool. Seldom do we see others, so it feels like our own. In the distance, we can watch an aerial parade of constant flights leaving DXB.
