The weather was great today. We did our grocery shopping in the morning as usual for Saturdays. We didn't feel as though we got enough walking in. So, soon after driving home, we walked across the road to Pier Park. I commented to Jay that I remember the political opposition to building the park when it was proposed. Now, that this section along the river has been a park for almost ten years, it was obviously a great benefit for residents of our city.
At the far end of the park, construction is still progressing on the residential towers. When we got back from our last winter in Mexico, I figured we would recognize the two towers, one of which will rise over fifty stories. The site prep certainly has taken much longer than I expected. Still, I find the process fascinating.
