Last summer, when we were feeling sort of stuck by the pandemic, we chose to drive and explore all of New Westminster's municipal parks. We also ventured to surrounding cities. I recorded many of those outings in several pages of blog posts: Nearby Neighbourhood Parks of 2020.
One place we 'found' was the Green Timbers Urban Forest in Surrey. Not far from crowded Surrey Central sits quite a chunk of land set aside from development. This was the perfect part of the year to stroll around the lake. The ducklings were curious and energetic. We didn't complete many of the ten kilometers of trails but circled the stocked lake from the parking on 100 Avenue.
