The First Day in Mazatlan

It seemed cold last night! We've had an a/c switched on for most of the last three months. It's not needed here. Today was a perfect 25°C.  It cools off when the sun goes down to around 15°C and then hits a low of around 12°C before sunrise. The sky is clear and so blue.  It warms up within minutes of sunrise. We did mention the coolness when communicating with our Airbnb host and she ran to buy us an extra blanket! She is so attentive and ready to help at a moment's notice. 

As soon as we'd had breakfast we walked to the middle of the Centro. We are not far from the cathedral, perhaps 10 or 15 minutes while walking leisurely. We love the central market. We can recall seeing these things from a day in this port on a Mexican cruise from San Diego in 2008. Now they are our neighbhourhood!

   

We collected more food and are pretty well set up for provisions. Our normal supermarket is only a 10-minute walk. The company is Ley and we knew it from our first retirement winter in Puerto Vallarta. This is an older one and a bit smaller but has all that we need at some good prices.

   

It was easy settling in here. We already feel comfortable. This will most likely be our home until the beginning of April. I am looking forward to every minute of it. The final picture was taken by my drone. We have a very large terrace, so taking out the drone is easy. This was sunset.
