I had my breakfast on the terrace. The warm sun was busy heating up Mazatlan to its high of 24°C.
After a load of wash finished, we walked through the Centro area. I didn't remember the pretty cobblestone streets around the Plazuela Zaragoza. It was eerily quiet because of the lack of tourists. There are not spring break crowds nor cruise ship passengers this year.
There were indigenous people peoples here and the Spanish founded the city in the 1530s. However, large groups of German immigrants arrived in the 1850s and influenced the culture here. We've yet to visit most of this city but look forward to learning a lot in the upcoming weeks and months.
