Today, we went to Mercado Pino Suarez, the 121-year-old main market in the middle of old Mazatlan. We went to see if the vegetable selection was better than the close supermarket. It was a bit better but did not provide reason enough to shop exclusively there.
I put on my jacket for our evening little walk. We found what should become our preferred fruit and vegetable shop on Zaragoza Street. Presently, a brass band is playing in the Angel Flores park just a few blocks over. It is loud but much less annoying than a neighbour with a loud stereo would be. In fact, this area seems pretty quiet, especially at night. This is a truly comfortable city with which to become familiar.
