In Tuesday's blog post, I included a picture of us taken at the Chichen Itza archeological site. I uploaded it to Flickr with a special tag indicating that Jay and I were both in it.
This made me wonder how many pictures were in my special, Flickr album. We have travelled a great deal over the last three and a half decades. Travel photos are some of the few times we might have pictures of us together. We are old school photographers who shun selfies and often used to ask some stranger to take our picture.
We have literally thousands of photos of us in front of famous tourist sites or on special occasions. Generally, however, I would take a photo with Jay in it and then he'd take one with me. So, there were surprisingly few photos with both of us in the same shot. I could find fewer than a hundred.
I am fairly sure our first photo together is shown on the top. It would have been taken in Taif, Saudi Arabia in 1985 when we were working under contract for the Saudi Army. The other one was taken here in Mexico two days ago. Therefore, these represent the first and most recent I have. You are invited to take a look at the others I found as well. I created a Flickr album to include some of the 36 years in between.
