We're back to our Playa del Carmen routine. We did some shopping in the morning and we walked to the beach at dusk. We're on Calle 2; therefore, if we walk out the front door and turn right, we end up at the ocean in about ten leisurely minutes.
Parque Los Fundadores is still under renovation. As that is a major point of public beach access, everyone is currently forced down Calle 2. It seemed especially busy for a Monday. Fifth Avenue was also quite crowded at 6:15 PM. Tourists are still pouring into the area as there are no lockdown or isolation requirements. I assume this part of Mexico will most probably have to move from safer orange to more diligent yellow COVID restrictions in the new year.
