Many new ideas come from the Internet and when doing research, it doesn't matter where one is. So, my new interest in drones isn't all that surprising. If I were in Canada now, I'd already have ordered a DJI Mavic Mini although it's a new product and still on backorder at many stores. I guess, it'll all work out well as April 2020 is be an excellent time to buy one. By then, DJI will have ironed out all the wrinkles. If I buy in Canada, I'll be able to take advantage of a great insurance program through the company which can replace the device twice during the first year if crashed. People say for a newbie that is somewhat likely.
Four months, however, seem too long to wait! Impatience is generally not a problem for me but I am now constantly being goaded by truckloads of information I read in online groups.

I need time to practice with a controller before I get behind my future Mavic. So, perhaps I can justify buying a practice, toy. This image is a Tello sold by DJI. It can be flown inside a house and around someone's yard. It might be what I need to learn how to control a quadcopter. More importantly, I could pick one up in Sri Lanka, although not at such great deals as they are offered elsewhere.
Hey, Susan, what did you used to say about the one with the most toys?
