Day 49 - We're back! We've returned to the Nugegoda house that is. It took more than an hour and forty minutes although we had our PickMe driver take the expressway from Ja Ela. This country, like most upper-middle-income nations, cannot build roads fast enough to cope with the increasing number of vehicles on its highways. I guess it's better when more people have the option of their own cars, but it used to take less time to travel around in the 1980s when more people went by bus.
We're here for four or five days. Tomorrow, Jay will go have his head examined. Well, he's checking on a small bump we noticed in back of his right ear. It didn't respond to a course of antibiotics a doctor prescribed. He'll head off in the morning to a few blood tests. Then in the evening he'll have a scan and consult with the same doctor as he did a few weeks ago. Jay's younger sister will be getting dental work done tomorrow. These things are better done closer to Colombo.
A big thunderstorm is brewing. We haven't had any rain for a while. I'm a little looking forward to the free electrical show.
