Yet, when I was looking back on information on our last visit to Sri Lanka, I had somewhat forgotten about our initial practice winter.
At the end of October in 2012, we flew to Sri Lanka for three months. I should have remembered my New Year's-eve pitcher of beer at the Minuwangoda Machan pub and so many other things from the 2012/13 trip!

After our time on the island, we took another month visiting Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos. We used Kuala Lumpur as a stopover on the way home. So, we are very experienced at winter escapes, I guess.
