Day 67 - Our rented apartment faces south so we see residential towers. However, our building is sort of tucked up against the hills in Relau. So the other side of the building has a few building but mostly looks towards a jungle. Today, we went for a short walk to a close parkland area. Its parking area is just a half kilometer from our building. We have hiked up over the crest of the hill, but today just ventured to the public pool area.
We are really suited for this weather. Today the temperature probably hit 32C. In Vancouver, at this time of year when the sun's out, people appreciate the light. Here, light is a given as days the year-round are twelve hours long. In the tropics, I appreciate the heat of the sun. I like how it feels as though it's starting to bake a person. Just being outside in a t-shirt during February feels like a gift. And of course, that sun helps vegetation grow like wild.
